The human race lives on one planet and we all deserve to live free, happy, and healthy. To ensure a future of equality we all have a responsibility to our social and natural communities. Hopefully in this blog and my experience with a local non-profit, High Country Citizens Alliance, we will see protection, conservation and preservation of natural ecosystems is something we all can benefit from.

White Pine
The past couple weeks I have been a part of discussion about drilling land cores of copper and magnesium in the small town of White Pine. In the late 1800's and early 1900's White Pine Colorado was most known for its silver mining. The industry never actually took off and now there is a seasonal population that enjoys the quiet mountain summers. Gunnison County Commissioners are negotiating with the mining company to start drilling. Things are not doomed due to the strong staff at HCCA highlighting that this project will do more harm for the social and ecological community than it is worth. GOOD WORK EVERYBODY!
