The human race lives on one planet and we all deserve to live free, happy, and healthy. To ensure a future of equality we all have a responsibility to our social and natural communities. Hopefully in this blog and my experience with a local non-profit, High Country Citizens Alliance, we will see protection, conservation and preservation of natural ecosystems is something we all can benefit from.

Fresh Start
The fall is settling in and the cool morning air wraps around the High Country Citizens Alliance office. The building is the old Crested Butte Depot and the walls tell stories of the all good times and beauty that compose this unique mountain town. Staff sit at desks positioned just right to fit into the small cozy office making an intimate work environment. HCCA is non-profit environmental protection organization. Currently there are four employees who divide and conquer public lands issues, clean air and water concerns, and keep the community informed of how these changes will effect them.
